Time and Simplicity

I tend to use a lot of simple sentences I only just realized that. I also realized how complicated we've made life. I mean honestly when the cave men were around they didn't have to worry about NCEA or balls or that whole will they or won't they thing (since they just will because they don't have enough time to mess around). The cavemen only worried about the important things in life. Everything was immediate. But now since we've increased our life expectancy by about six times then we need to drag everything out by six. So it takes six times longer to find food (aka our ridiculous education and monetary system) it takes six times longer to find your mate and it takes six times longer to... (well in reality I don't think the cavemen had to do anything else).

Life was simple because it had to be. That's the problem with time we always end up making things far too complicated because we believe that we have to. Case in point the end of a maths exam. I've done all of the questions about Mehe and Miro (NCEA finds that it's necessary to be politically correct and include a range of ethnicity's in the papers... I'd prefer that they just told me the question instead of having a massive paragraph of waffle... which happens to contain 1 sentence of vital information which I miss out on because I'm too lazy to read the waffle) and their kite flying escapades. I've done everything but there's still another hour in the exam. Because of this time I find that it's necessary to use it all. Then of course I freak myself out change my answers and .... Well the result isn't as good as it should of been. Sometimes good things don't take time. Good things happen immediately without any dilly-dally because if you're messing around then everyone is inevitably going to get bored so the experience is not so entertaining.... Random? (Read the title)

AA Milne

Halfway down the stairs
is a stair
where i sit.
there isn't any
other stair
quite like
it.
i'm not at the bottom,
i'm not at the top;
so this is the stair
where
I always
stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up
And it isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery,
It isn't in town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head.
It isn't really
Anywhere!
It's somewhere else
Instead!
