Bobby Pins

I googled 'how to make my hair grow' because of this girl on campus who calls herself a 'hill-billy'. She doesn't exactly have the best moral compass but one thing that I have to say about her is that her hair is GORGEOUS. It's long and luscious (although on closer inspection it has terrible split ends which makes me think that she has been growing it since she was about 8 years old). Anyway ever since Miley had extensions I've had a little bit of a fascination with long hair. So I decided to google it. Amongst buying a range of products which are far too expensive for me to even fathom purchasing was the idea of brushing your hair upside down (which makes me feel like a complete idiot and looks rather awkward) there's also the idea of keeping your hair in a loose plait. The one problem with such a hair style is that there seem to be quite a few fly aways so for the first time in my life I've actually started using bobby pins for something other than attempting to pick locks.

They're rather awkward to use and I must admit that every time I chuck one in my hair I feel like a try hard year 12. But hair must be secured in the laboratory and I want to maintain as much hair as possible so I'm using bobby pins. I stared at myself in the mirror and I wondered about those itty bitty pins. They do actually do a rather good job. That surprised me. There's so many in a packet that I assumed they'd break rather often and be rather useless.. but no...

3 Good Things
*After my Chemistry Lab being asked by the demonstrator if I was doing vet (cause that's what the Massey smarties do) then telling him I was doing Food Tech at which point he told me that I should major in Chemistry instead. He obviously doesn't think much of Food tech but yay for me! Although after that I said that it would mean that I would be at uni for the rest of my life... not the best thing to say in front of my lecturer...
*Toffees... I got them for my birthday and they are rather tasty.
*"I'm very happy with her. I found myself a christian girl after all..." It's just such a cute, honest statement.
