Bring it all Back

I probably should have posted this yesterday but yesterday I was busy with my frantic life of studying, watching friends at 6:30 and eating the mixture of the baking which my mother had made. Speaking of I am oh so very excited about Friday. Since on Friday I can bake a lot of food (for the church fair). And I won't even have to bother about trying to make it healthy since I won't be at risk of eating all the cup cakes that I make....

Anyway back to the topic of this post 'Bring it all Back' it happens to be the title of a certain S-Club 7 song. I know that you know the words even though you probably don't want to admit it. Although I won't accept the year 7's in Swainson saying 'this is the song of my childhood.' Hmm okay so they were bopping around to S-Club when they were 2? Yeah right.

Now you're probably wondering '5 dubs and an h? (if you are unaware of the meaning of this refer to my previous posting entitled awkward turtle/muffin/salamander....etc) Swainson?' Unless of course you happen to go to Marsden in which case you will be thinking 'they so should have gotten in instead of Richmond'....I know we so should have. Swainson. Full Name: Swainson-Riddiford. Is a house at Marsden. We are the pink/red house and we used to be the house. Or so I've heard since this run ended as soon as I arrived at Marsden... Unfortunately we've lost this status. In fact when it was announced that whatever house could collect enough cans for Ican would get to pick the order our house captains exclaimed 'YUSS finally something which required no skill'. The most recent house event of course was House Music and Bring it all Back was our song.

As I've said we're not a very skilled house in fact so far this year we've come last at Athletics and second to last at swimming sports. So our house flag is always in that sad position furthest from the stage (the house with the most points is always closest to the stage). But one thing that everyone says about us is that we have house spirit. Our performance of Bring it all Back for house music was unique. Our instrumentalists included a violinist, a trumpeter (who Chelsea always refers to with a slight cringe), a guitarist and two pianists. Unfortunately no one in Swainson plays the drums. To make the most of a bad situation our house captains decided that we would do our hymn acapella (although that did sound amazing) and our waiata was only with a piano.

Now the chosen song...we had everyone in the audience in fits of laughter. Two year 13s rapped the 'Bring it all Backs' and free styled a little....they had the coolest gangsta looks complete with rats tails... 'Twas gorge. I cracked up in the middle of the performance. Then there was our house captains who forgot to hold up our cues and then one did the wrong actions. It was hilarious. but to be completely honest it was the funnest house music that I've ever done despite the fact that some people in the audience were cringing and some were laughing. It was legendary (complete with the hand gestures). Oh and it is good to see that lots of people have caught onto saying legendary.... although it has taken longer than for people to catch onto the ohmja (say it like it's spelt) or zomg as Caroline likes to say. And do you know what the most remarkable thing about house music this year is? We didn't come last. We didn't even come second to last we came 4th (which is a victory for Swainson) and only by 6 points. Our enthusiasm and enjoyment obviously showed....

But I was a bit gutted that despite my valiant efforts the whole of Baber could hear the infamous Swainson Baritone.... It's unfortunate.

TREND ALERT

I haven't done any trends for ages so my trends label has had very little use (even though its accidentally trends famine (oh that's an experience which I don't want to repeat in a hurry)). My latest trend is having scrambled eggs made in the microwave for afternoon tea. Whack it on vogels with a little bit of spinach and salsa maybe even some gherkin.... It's nutritious and scrumptious. Give it a try. I should really think of a clothing trend since food can't really be 'trendy'.

Blog Out I'm thinking that maybe I should put a poll on here with different ideas for a sign out.... Even though Megan and Henri will probably be the only people who vote...I need something catchy like xoxo gossip girl. What about...?

Don't dis the blog

Oh and at house music the teachers did a 'unique' rendition of Josephs coat of Many colours (RanDomly capitalIsing is fUN).....
