Look Again

Today I told a girl that she was beautiful. It was the first time that I've ever spoken to her and I'm not a lesbian. It all revolved around a school dance. She wasn't going to go because she wouldn't get asked to dance because she was ugly. It annoys me incredibly. Why does a girl need to have guys hitting on her just to feel beautiful? Why can't she just feel beautiful in herself? It's seen as a measure of beauty. I dislike that so much and in fact I find that I partake in it so often. Because guys don't ask me out then automatically I'm left wondering. It's a horrible thing and it's a horrible game which some guys play. I'm talking about when they say things like 'wanna go out with me?' 'psyche'. They hold your heart in their hands and oh so often they squish it into a bloody pulp (man am I sounding like a feminist). I'm not usually so well negative but it's just that that girl got to me. It just made me so mad. You see for a guy then he's the one doing the asking so if he doesn't get a date it's all because his personality didn't sparkle enough whereas for a girl it's all about the outside. At least that's what I've picked up from the guys I've spoken to. I suppose it's because the outside is what initially draws them over.

I wish that on the outside people were as beautiful as they are on the inside. A bit like Shallow Hal (terrible movie btw). It would mean that those beautiful bitches could get their comeuppance and that awesome girl with the acne would finally be able to show everyone else what she's really like. At moments like this I'm always reminded of a fact which I heard on Child of our Time. When your child is starting school then the best thing that you can do for them is to make them look pretty. When I said this to my friends they disagreed vehemently with it. But before you dismiss it I'd just like you to think about the 'popular' people at your institution. What do they all have in common? They're not all smart. They're not all nice. They're all pretty. They all have legs which prop them up like stilts and mean that they physically look down on me and they all have that gloriously long hair. It means that both males and females are attracted to them. Although I like to think that that doesn't stick because people get to know them and get to realise just how shallow they are like Hal was in the start of the movie. I only watched that movie because we had to watch it in Health. We were doing body image or something... If only guys had the same blessing as Hal.

3 GOOD THINGS

#Distinguishing between nice German phrases and mean phrases... I got 0/3! I thought it would be easy to tell but no. Oh and add to that having German translated for me 'let's make up' oh how clear it all is now.
#Lasagne.... mmm
#Mao's game probably the most wtf game I've ever played... especially since I thought the rules were the same as in the USA...
