Let's Go

I find packing a curious phenomenon. In a single bag (or multiple bags if you are extremely indecisive) you place all of the belongings that you will need for a set period of time. It is only from that bag that you may choose what you will wear each day for the duration of your holiday unless of course you go shopping. Yesterday I packed for my 4 day tramp in the sounds. I literally have to pack everything that I need. That means in my bag I have survival items, food, gas a sleeping bag and of course clothing. It's bizarre to think that I the only things that I will use for 4 days come out of this pack (except for the fact that there are shops along our tramp so we will probably buy ice creams etc... it's a little bit ridiculous considering it's so gold Duke of Ed).

Anyway I just thought that I'd share that with you since it's peculiar... I've never really considered packing in much depth before now. I can only think of one other animal which does it and that's the snail since they take their home with them. I know many people who seem to take the entire contents of their houses tramping.
