Keep Breathing - Ingrid Michaelson

I'm in Korea. I'm not about to bore you by telling you everything that I've been up to. That would be rough...But instead I shall tell you of some discoveries I've found in the form of differences (does that count as alliteration?)

South Koreans (Asians in general) tend to be shorter than westerners except for Yao Ming. I've found that quite rough. It means that I smack my head on just about everything. It gets really repetitive and painful when you've whacked your head on the bus ceiling for the third time in the space of 10 minutes. Then you get a little mad in English so you find about 10 Korean faces staring at you and wondering wtf in Korean whatever that is! I must say sometimes it's quite good for the people around you to be unable to understand what you're saying...How this all relates to differences and discoveries? Well, the towels in Korea are seriously small. They're the size of a hand towel. I'm trying to figure out why they'd have towels that small and the only reason I can think of is because the Koreans are small. However I still find it intensely annoying since it means you need like 3 towels!

The toilets. Here they have those hi tech toilets like you see in articles about Japan. I don't know what any of the like 12 buttons do. The only one I know is the flush one. When I was in Incheon I accidentally pressed one of the buttons and the toilet seat was heated. That's just plain wrong...

So those are my two discoveries. I had thought of another one but I forgot it. Perhaps I'll remember it later.

Finally my interesting title. It's a song name and I really like the song it was used to end the third season of Grey's. Anyway so I was trying to get to sleep (my dad is the loudest snorer EVER) and listening to that song and I realized what it was about. You see a line in it goes 'All I can do is keep breathing'. It's the ultimate hopelessness, your life is so out of control that you can't do anything. But then I realised that's what you should do in a crisis when you feel like that. Just keep breathing. Stay calm. Just try and perform the most basic function then you'll have the clarity of mind to do what you need to do...

I hope I enlightened you. You as in like Steph....since I think most other people know I'm away so assume my blog is away too....

PS this keyboard has plastic covering which is like the most annoying thing ever. Oh and in Korea they love this music called K-pop it's crazy catchy and it's everywhere...tv...shops
